Rachel is an artist and illustrator, living in windy Wellington amongst bushes laden with tuis and magpies. Since obtaining her Bachelor of Visual Communication Design in Illustration back in 2008, Rachel has taken part in various group exhibitions around Wellington, and held her first solo show at Pixel Ink Gallery in April this year.
She often works under the artist name Walkerillo .

Walkerillo loves colour, especially red, and works with extremely sharp pencils and splashes of watercolour paint. The subject matter is always fresh and new from painting to painting, ranging from waistcoated seahorses to giant plant-fists crushing a city ! The studio usually smells like spraypaint and sounds like Tom Waits.

At this moment, Rachel is working towards an exhibition where she will illustrate a range of interesting quotes from her favourite scientists and writers.

Walkerillos prints are all top quality on lightly textured cream Giclee german cotton paper , so they look just like the watercolour paper originally painted on, and are all signed and dated. Beautiful and unusual, and perfect for brightening up the room.
